What to Evaluate in an Enterprise AI Marketing Platform

Evaluate an enterprise AI marketing platform on brand control, proof quality, data and security, human control, time to live and cost model.

read the abstract twice

When choosing an enterprise AI marketing platform, evaluate six things: how it keeps output on-brand, the quality of its proof, what data it needs and where it runs, how much control your people keep, how fast it goes live and how it is priced. Ask every vendor, Whilter included, to show each one on your own account.

Demos are the weakest part of an evaluation, because every AI platform can produce an impressive output on a prepared example. What separates them is what happens on your brand, your data and your approval process, at your volume.

What should we evaluate when choosing an enterprise AI marketing platform?

Six things, each with a question that a demo can’t answer for you.

What to evaluateThe question to askWhat a good answer looks like
Brand controlWhere are brand rules enforced?Inside generation, with a measured approval rate
ProofWas the result a matched test?Same product, audience and window as the control, with denominators
Data and securityWhich fields leave our systems, and where does it run?A field list in writing, deployment options, current security evidence
Human controlCan we approve, monitor and stop everything?Approval before anything goes live, and a pause on every campaign
Time to liveHow long from contract to first live campaign?Days to weeks, with the first test agreed up front
Cost modelWhat do we pay for: activity or capacity?A price that doesn’t rise with every variant

How do you test whether output stays on-brand?

Measure it rather than look at it. Give each shortlisted platform the same brief and your real brand rules, generate a full set of variants, and have your brand team score every one. The share that passes is the approval rate, and it is the most useful single number in the evaluation, because you pay to generate everything and can only run what passes.

Ask where the rules live. Whilter’s ElevateOS applies brand rules inside the engine, so generated variants inherit the brand guardrails before review. Bombay Shaving Co. started with every variant needing compliance review before it could go live, and tracked a 68% creative approval rate working this way. Benchmarking Brand Compliance sets out how to score it.

How should you judge a vendor’s proof?

By asking what the number is a number of. A headline uplift can describe one ad set, one product, a blend or a whole account. Ask whether the control ran at the same time on the same audience, how much spend sits behind it, and what the sample size and window were. A figure without those is a claim, not proof.

Whilter’s case pages publish their method next to their numbers. Wonderchef’s figures come from matched head-to-head experiments on the same product line and audience over the same window, such as Twister moving from 0.05× to 3.09× purchase ROAS. How Marketing Teams Prove ROI From AI-Generated Creative covers how to read any vendor’s figures, ours included.

What should the data and security review cover?

What the platform needs, where it runs and who owns the result. Get the list of fields it reads, in writing. Whilter’s Snype works from first-party data you connect from a CRM, CDP, spreadsheet or product database, requires no third-party or PII data, and the videos and images it generates are yours.

Then deployment. Konne CX can run managed-shared, as a dedicated tenant, on-premise or in your own hyperscaler account, with encryption, data-compliance controls and real-time LLM monitoring. On certification, Whilter maintains an ISO 27001, SOC 2 and GDPR security posture and is DPDP-aware and RBI-aware for regulated BFSI engagements (About). For any vendor, ask for the current evidence behind each claim, not the logo.

How much control should your team keep?

All of it, at the points that matter. The platform should do the volume, and your people should decide what goes live. ElevateOS lets your team approve every variant before it goes live, monitor what runs, override decisions and pause any campaign whenever it wants. Konne CX hands a conversation to a human agent mid-thread, with the full context, when it needs a person.

Check where the human sits in each workflow, and write down which decisions are never automated. In regulated categories, that list is usually longer than the vendor’s default.

How do you compare cost and time to value?

Price the capacity, not the activity. An agency bills per asset and per round, so its cost rises with every variant. ElevateOS generates 40–60 variants per campaign at a marginal cost per variant, which changes what you can afford to test.

Time to value has two parts. Setup covers connecting data and channels and locking the brand rules. Launch is the step after it: once your brand DNA is locked, Whilter can deploy live campaigns in as little as 30 minutes. Ask every vendor for both numbers separately.

Finally, check the shape of the platform. One tool that does everything adequately tends to go shallow on every motion, which is the monolith trap we describe in Monolith vs Agentic Systems. Specialized engines sharing one memory avoid both the monolith and the patchwork.
